Computer-administered test (CAT) with:

120 selected-response questions
3 speaking constructed-response tasks
5 writing constructed-response tasks

Exam Features

This exam includes:

On-screen character selector for the writing tasks
Microphone and headset for the speaking tasks

Time

5 hours total appointment time*

20 minutes for CAT tutorials and compliance agreement
10 minute break after the speaking tasks (optional)
4 hours and 5 minutes testing time

*NOTE: The total appointment time exceeds the total time for tutorials, break, and testing. This difference allows for untimed activity to conduct an equipment check prior to testing.

Exam Dates

Limited administrations during 2-week testing periods. You must schedule an appointment by the scheduling deadline for the testing period in which you wish to test.
